We are an independent group of marine surveyors, highly committed to share our expertise across the industry. We offer deck and technical surveys, ensuring that the safety and reliability of your vessel, or fleet of vessels is maintained.
Our Expertise
We are highly diverse. covering a wide range of vessels, with over 20 years' experience in the marine industry, delivering high quality surveys for our clients.
We also offer consultancy work, including the implementation of marine safety systems.
Our Experience
All of our surveyors have a commercial background, whether its deck or engineering based qualifications.
Our lead surveyors are all certified to highest standard, graduating from Lloyds Maritime Academy.

Marine Surveyor
I have always been enthusiastic and passionate about all types of boats, spending my youth on the water. I have now been working in the marine industry for over 20 years, having studied for a degree in Marine Shipping from the University of Plymouth.
I also qualified as a deck officer, working internationally as a 2nd Officer on-board cargo vessels around the world. I later obtained my Captain certificates, enjoying working on coastal vessels such as; hovercrafts, ferries, salvage and emergency response operations and harbour towage.
My career has naturally drawn me towards surveying. I hold a Diploma in Marine Surveying, certified by the Lloyds Maritime Academy. I hold a specialist certificate in ISM surveying.
I now have my own business offering surveying and consultancy work for projects across the marine industry.
James Tipple
Chief Engineer & Technical Consultant
I started my working career in agriculture, both operating and repairing machinery, then transitioned into the marine industry.
I focused my interest on Engineering and became senior engineer for a yacht charter company on the south coast, taking care of a fleet of 60+ yachts.
I then became a Motorman for a tug firm operating in Southampton and the North Sea. Whilst in this position I attended Warsash Maritime Academy to study a small vessel 2nd engineer Certificate of Competency.
After completing my 2nd Engineer CoC I moved to a Portsmouth based tug company serving as a Chief engineer and completed my SV Chief Engineer 9000Kw unlimited area CoC.
I have an interest in everything technical and mechanical and always work to meticulous standards to maintain maximum efficiency and safety at all times.
